I would have LOVED to have seen the post credit sequence with a theater crowd. The movie itself was surprisingly solid, but that extra ending was icing on the cake.
Saw this in theaters and live in Minnesota. Decided not to use the theaters restroom and just waited til I got home.
Anyhow I don't see how this movie would have a sequel. I thought it was a great film, but very much seemed like one of Soderbergh's experimental entries. They gonna make this the ocean's eleven of end of the world films? Raising the stakes on humanity with each entry until Matt Damon's character calls in George Clooney and Brad Pitt to help him ...
This makes me wonder if Edgar Wrights and Simon Peggs end of the world flick will come under comparison. Then there's that Steve Carell's Making a Friend for the End of the World coming out soon as well...suppose Carell's will use the whole 2012 thing for marketing but Rogan's and Wrights will come upon afterwards. Wonder if they will release in the same year?
@Lucretia
Yeah that was my only dislike of the film as well. However, I think it may have been done to hide some of the violence in order to obtain a PG13 rating while still involving deaths of children.
Likewise. They made for an awesome pair. The subtle jokes mixed in or followed by the outrageous ones made for a consistently hilarious flick.
It seems hard to make The Flash into a movie. Either we see things in his view which would mean the world at a super slow crawl (guess Zach Snyder could make that movie) or we wouldnt see the flash as nothing but a blur moving from point A to B.
He seems best as a secondary character when it comes to film.
Has there been a proper female lead based superhero movie? Theres plenty to dig into there if the studios can be mature about it.
As for c...
Time to have a trio marathon. Watch some Spaced, follow that with Shaun of the Dead then end it with HotFuzz...then too wait...WHY MUST WE WAIT!
Haywire was brutal as hell when the fists were flying. However, this is Soderbergh, so there was a lot of lingering moments and long drawn out shots. I love his film style and his eye for great looking shots, but I wish for this one he would've just went a bit more toward the adrenaline side of things. Watching Carano act was a bit painful, but watching her bring the real pain was quite a blast.
Quite slow. Never really picks up event wise. Has a couple of visceral moments. However, as for the genre it is and the book its based on this is never really meant to be. Its interesting. A movie made for its audience.
I suppose like "Munich" tho more aimed at the diplomatic side of things.
Beautifully shot, very well acted, several layers deep not just the actual espionage, but the characters lives as well.

Was a very fun movie to watch. Took the humor of the first and just ran like crazy with it. Same for the action. Was upped ten fold. The forest scene was insane.
true but how often does the parent game company have this much control in the feature film?
I found it fun, and the audience I was with were all laughing throughout. Granted the audience itself was maybe 30+/-.
Yeesh, guess having a billion dollar franchise behind you doesnt woo much in the way of support.
Was a pretty enjoyable movie. Liked the connections with the original movies.
Only saw the room and that was with rifftrax playing over it...Uhg was almost still painful.
You are most certainly not alone on this one. Wrote off Avatar at first, but finally sat down and gave it a chance when I put it on for the daycare I work at. Found myself watching the whole series on Netflix. Great stuff. Am eagerly awaiting this new series.
Found another link since this one is offline:

I trust garland and heard his script was pretty good. May not have the chin and exaggerated gear but meh ill watch the movie for what it is.
Only thing that sours this for my is Channing. Thankfully he gets pounced in the start of this trailer. Aside form that, looking like an awesome cast with one of my favorite directors.
I really liked Scott Pilgrim (tho I looked past the hipster stuff and watched the visual fun and unique way to tell a story most have gone through in life), however, I think FF4 wouldve been a better fit for this list, as, like you said, he was one of the very few enjoyable parts to those movies.
I mean I never read the books, but you just knew what was coming...however, I was NOT expecting it to be that horrifically brutal. They did not hold back one bit. Suppose thats what makes the show so damn amazing. The many unknowns.
